Learn to Fly With Colorado Flight School
30 Minute Intro Flight
With our 30 minute intro flight, students can have their first experience at becoming a pilot. Under the guidance of one of our instructors, you will be assisted in flying the aircraft. This hands-on experience will introduce you to the airplane’s flight controls.
1 hr discovery flight
Colorado Flight School wants to welcome you to the world of aviation! In one of our Cessna 182s, you will have a FAA certified flight instructor assisting you. The instructor will perform as much of the flight as is necessary for safety, but will teach you how to takeoff and you will do almost all of the flying yourself!
2 hr “I want to be a pilot”
The “I really want to Fly an Airplane” package gives you one flight lesson. This package is for 1.5 hours of flight training. Accompanied by 30 minutes of dual ground instruction. If you want a logbook endorsement from your flight instructor, we will need proof of US Citizenship.
Flight Training
10 Hour to Solo Flight
The “I really want to Solo an Airplane” flight training solo package. It is designed to give you the opportunity to fly an airplane by yourself. This package is for 10 hours of flight training which is combined instructor time and solo time. You will receive a Solo Flight Certificate after your Solo to commemorate the day.
Private Pilot
Includes:
30 hours of Dual Flight in Cessna 182
10 hours of Solo Flight in Cessna 182
15 hours of Ground School/Review

Additional hours may be required depending on the student.
Commercial Pilot
As a commercial pilot (CPL), you may act as pilot in command of an aircraft that is carrying passengers or property for compensation or hire and may be paid to act as pilot in command. You must hold an instrument rated license and have an accumulated total of 250 hours of flight time prior to testing for the CPL.
Back Country Flying
The Cessna 182 is a classic, as relevant in the 1960’s as it is today. Our Cessna 182 is a highly modified 1969 Cessna 182 wide body with VG kit, WingX, flap gap kit and stripped down interior for a 1685lb empty weight.
